My Story:

My name is Nahlienne Rafael, born and raised in Curaçao.

For as long as I can remember, I have moved through the world with a heightened sensitivity that feels emotional shifts in a room before anyone speaks. What once felt like “too much” became my greatest gift.

I am the founder of Atalanta Healing, a holistic support practice dedicated to grief, life transitions, emotional healing, caregiving, and end-of-life awareness.

My professional background spans more than 25 years in the banking sector, where I worked in structured, high-responsibility environments requiring precision, trust, and ethical decision-making.

I served for seven years in Sint Maarten, where I was responsible for client relations, team leadership, and operational support in a fast-paced corporate setting.

Later in my career, I worked in a global corporate environment in a KYC and confidential counseling capacity. In this role, I supported regulatory compliance processes and individuals navigating sensitive personal and professional situations.

This experience strengthened my ability to hold confidential space, listen deeply, and support people through emotional complexity.

Alongside my corporate career, I developed my practice in end-of-life doula work and grief support, focusing on emotional presence, transition, and compassionate accompaniment during significant life changes.

Atalanta Healing integrates corporate experience, confidential counseling, and holistic end-of-life and grief support.

My work is experience based and evidence informed.

My approach is grounded in presence and deep listening.

I support people in navigating moments of grief, uncertainty, and transition with clarity and steadiness.

I work with families, caregivers, and loved ones who are navigating grief, and the emotional impact of a loved one’s serious illness and end-of-life transitions.

Beyond private practice, I serve as a volunteer grief coach for the

Losing Zyan Gaining An Angel Foundation (LZGAA), supporting mothers navigating stillbirth and pregnancy loss.

Furthermore, I have delivered lectures at GGZ Yudaboyu and offer regular sessions at

the Curaçao Medical Center for staff and patients.

If something in you feels ready, I am here for you.
